KeepSake is published by Baldwin Tree LLC. Its recordings, photos, transcripts, names, family connections, recipes, pets, notes, and lists are stored locally on your physical device. A Library profile identifies a storyteller; it is not an online account. We do not operate a server that receives or stores your library.
Collection and permissions
KeepSake does not collect your library for the developer, sell personal data, or include advertising or tracking SDKs. Microphone access enables recording; photo and camera access lets you add images you choose. On supported iOS devices, optional English transcription uses on-device speech recognition. You can deny permissions, though related features will be unavailable.
Sharing and backups
You decide whether to share stories or export a backup and choose the destination. Messaging, email, social apps, and storage providers handle the copies you send under their own policies. Recipients can save or forward shared content. KeepSake backups are not password-protected by KeepSake. Your device’s system backup may include app data depending on your settings. Cloud copies you choose are managed by that provider, not by us.
Retention, deletion, and recovery
Local content remains until you delete it or the app’s data is removed. Use the app’s story and profile deletion controls to remove content. Deleting content does not erase original photos, exported backups, or copies shared elsewhere. Losing a device or deleting the app may mean losing the library. Reinstalling alone does not restore it; keep an exported backup outside the app.
Apple and support
Apple may process store transactions, downloads, and diagnostics under its own policies and your settings. If you email us, we receive the email address and information you provide and use it to respond and resolve the issue. KeepSake does not automatically send your family files with a support request. Ask us to delete support correspondence by contacting us; we retain it only as needed to address the request or meet legal obligations.
Other people’s information
Only record and share information you have permission to use. Be thoughtful about children’s photos, voices, and personal details. If you believe information was provided to us improperly, contact us.
Website and policy updates
This policy describes the iOS KeepSake app. The website’s hosting provider may process technical requests such as IP addresses to serve these pages. If our practices change, we will update this page and its date.
